What This Covers

These terms apply to Wargame Stats (wargamestats.com) and Wargame Finder (wargamefinder.com), including the Discord bot, web dashboard, and all related services. By using any part of the service, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (required by Discord's own terms).
• The service is free for everyone — there are no paid tiers and no payment required to access any feature.

Your Account

You sign in via Discord OAuth. We don't create a separate password or store Discord credentials. Your account is tied to your Discord identity.

• You're responsible for activity under your account.
• Don't share sessions or access tokens with others.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Acceptable Use

We're building a tool for wargaming communities. Keep it that way.

• Do use enemy notes, profiles, and chat features for game-related discussion and strategy.
• Don't use these features for harassment, hate speech, doxxing, or posting personal information about other players.
• Don't attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse the API beyond normal usage.
• Don't create fake accounts or manipulate match data.

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules. We'll try to warn first, but repeated or severe violations may result in immediate action.

User Content

When you post enemy notes, map annotations, profile bios, or other content, you retain ownership of that content. You grant us a license to store, display, and serve it as part of the service (for example, showing your enemy notes to your guildmates).

We won't sell your content or use it outside the platform. If you delete your account, we'll remove your user-generated content within 30 days.

Match Data

Match statistics are submitted by guild officers via OCR or manual entry. This data is associated with guilds, not individual user accounts. Match data belongs to the guild and persists independently of individual membership.

Availability

We run this as an indie project, not an enterprise SaaS. We aim for high uptime but can't guarantee it. The service is provided as-is without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for downtime, data loss, or other service interruptions.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Significant changes (especially anything affecting paid features) will be announced via Discord and visible on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

What We Collect

We collect only what's needed to run the service:

• Discord profile data — your Discord user ID, username, and avatar (provided via Discord OAuth when you sign in).
• In-game name — the player name you set within the app.
• Match statistics — defeats, assists, damage, healing, and other per-match stats submitted by guild officers via OCR or manual entry.
• User-generated content — enemy notes, map annotations, profile bios, and mercenary listings you create.
• Session data — a session cookie (wg_session) for authentication. No tracking cookies, no analytics pixels.

We don't process or store any payment information. If you choose to support the project via donation, the donation platform handles that transaction entirely on their own systems — see the Donations section below.

What We Don't Collect

• We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking.
• We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
• We don't read your Discord messages — the bot only processes images posted in designated OCR channels.

How We Use Your Data

• Authentication — Discord OAuth to verify your identity and manage sessions.
• Service delivery — displaying stats, running the LFG system, matching players, showing guild rosters.
• Subscription management — tracking which guilds have active Pro subscriptions via Stripe.

Third-Party Services

We share limited data with these providers to operate the service:

• Discord — OAuth authentication and bot functionality. Subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.
• Ko-fi — if you choose to donate, the transaction is handled entirely on Ko-fi's platform. We never see your payment details. Subject to Ko-fi's Privacy Policy.
• Hosting provider — the server that runs the application. Only has access to data as needed for hosting.

Data Retention

• Account data — retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
• Match statistics — retained indefinitely as part of guild history, even if individual players leave the guild. Player names in match records are not deleted when a user leaves.
• Session tokens — expire after 30 days of inactivity.
• Enemy notes & map annotations — retained while the guild is active. Removed if the guild is deleted.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access your data — request a copy of everything we store about you.
• Correct your data — update your in-game name or profile information.
• Delete your account — log out of all sessions and request deletion via our contact info below.
• Export your data — officers can export match data via the tactical brief CSV feature.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page. We'll respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use a single functional cookie (wg_session) for authentication. It's httpOnly, secure, and SameSite=Lax. No tracking cookies, no cookie banners needed — we only use what's strictly necessary to keep you signed in.

Children's Privacy

We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using the service, contact us and we'll remove their account.

Free Forever

Wargame Stats and Wargame Finder are completely free to use. Every feature — match logging, player stats, enemy insights, tactical maps, full match history, the LFG system, mercenary tools — is available to all guilds and players at no cost.

This is a passion project run by an individual hobbyist for the wargaming community. There are no paid tiers, no premium features, no ads, and no plans to introduce any.

Supporting the Project

Running the service costs money — servers, domains, OCR processing, time. If the tools have been useful to your guild and you'd like to help keep them running, donations are gratefully accepted via Ko-fi.

How Donations Work

• Donations are handled by Ko-fi. When you click a donation link, you're taken to Ko-fi's site to complete the transaction.
• We never see, store, or process your payment details. All card and account information stays with Ko-fi and their payment processors.
• Donations can be one-time or recurring. You can cancel a recurring donation at any time directly through Ko-fi.
• Donations are not refundable from us — they're treated as gifts. If you need to dispute a charge, contact Ko-fi directly. We'll cooperate with any legitimate refund requests.

No Service Guarantee

Donating does not create a contract for service. We don't guarantee uptime, feature availability, response times, or any specific outcome in exchange for donations. The service is provided as-is regardless of whether you've donated.
